Credit card skimmers found at gas station in North Austin

Authorities found multiple credit card skimmers in a North Austin gas station on March 14, 2018.

According to The Department of Agriculture, three skimmers were found at the pumps at the 7-Eleven located at 14730 N. of Interstate 35.

Local law enforcement was notified and dispatched to remove the devices.

Police advise the public to be aware at the fuel pump.

  • If the credit card scanner looks like it has been tampered with, move to another pump or pay inside.
  • If fraudulent charges are made on your account, contact your financial institution immediately.
