Court records show no charges filed against 18-year-old accused of murder

AUSTIN, Texas — Travis County court records show the District Attorney's Office is not filing charges against the 18-year-old accused of killing 16-year-old Patrick Valadez last November.

It happened at a party in East Austin on November 25th on Sol Wilson Avenue.

When Austin police arrived on the scene, they found Valadez with a gunshot wound to his chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Andrew Dominic Aviles was arrested without incident on January 10, 2024, by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of APD.

CBS Austin has reached out to the Travis County DA's Office for comment but has not heard back yet.

Aviles remains at the Travis County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
