CBS Austin is celebrating international woman's day by highlighting women owned businesses

{p}Business owners Kristen Heaney and Woineshet Mariam are two women who come from different backgrounds but are both breaking barriers in their industries (CBS Austin){/p}

13 years later, she now has two successful Taste of Ethiopia restaurants, one located in Pflugerville and the other off South Congress.

Mariam left Ethiopia, moved to Washington, and would later settle in Austin but found employers weren’t paying well at the time when she got a job working at a New Orleans-styled restaurant.
