With the race for president ever tightening in Texas, former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign is launching a bus tour across the state with less than a week until election day.

The 3-day "Soul of the Nation" bus tour will stop in Amarillo, Lubbock, Abilene, Fort Worth, and Dallas on Wednesday, October 28th.

The bus tour, encouraging Texans to vote for Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, will continue through Friday with additional stops across Texas.

With Biden running neck and neck with President Donald Trump in polling, Texas has emerged as an unlikely battleground in the 2020 election.

According to a Dallas Morning News and University of Texas at Tyler poll released Sunday, Biden leads Trump by 3 points in Texas.

One poll released last week had the candidates tied, while another had Biden up by one point.

No Democratic presidential candidate has won Texas since 1976.
