Austin community takes stand against child abuse
On Monday, the Austin community took a stand against child abuse.
Aaron Oeser of the DePelchin Children's Center says it's important to recognize the signs of abuse.
"Obviously there are bruises, scrapes, and kids coming to school with dirty cloths. Then there are harder to find signs that are not that obvious, like sexual abuse, that may come out like depression or things like that," Oeser said.
He says there are a lot of people like doctors and teachers looking for signs everyday -- but it's also important for neighbors and community members to be looking out for abused and neglected children.
