Austin City Council considering changing vehicle booting fee to $50
AUSTIN, Texas —
On Thursday, the Austin City Council approved on first reading the capping of vehicle booting fees in the city to $50.
A second reading of the proposal is scheduled on Thursday, Aug. 23.
The current charge for a booting is $150. If the proposal is approved, all booting companies will be required to apply for a permit at $15 per operator.
