APD: Teenager killed after car crashes into light pole, woman & infant hospitalized
AUSTIN, Texas —
A single-vehicle crash in east Austin left a teenager dead and a woman and infant injured Saturday afternoon, police say.
Austin-Travis County EMS, Austin Fire and APD responded to the intersection of Springdale Road and Rogge Lane close to 12:50 p.m.
Austin Police say the vehicle crashed into a light pole.
Medics pronounced a teen male deceased on scene and transported a woman in her 30s with critical-like injuries to Dell Seton Medical Center. Police state an infant was also transported to the hospital but the severity of injuries is unknown.
The intersection is closed while police conduct their investigation.
