Affidavit: Man stabbed estranged wife, asked child to clean up blood
SAN ANTONIO - A man accused of fatally stabbing his estranged wife has been arrested.
On Nov. 14, 47-year-old Lewis Bright dropped the victim off at a clinic off Nacogdoches Road. While talking to medical staff she told them he had stabbed her with a knife at her home just down the road. She later died of her injuries.
When officers arrived at her apartment, blood was found all over the floor and kitchen sink. A bloody knife was also found in the sink.
When investigators spoke with their child, the child said Bright was driving the family car with the victim in the front passenger seat. She was seen with her head back, eyes closed and with blood on her mouth. Bright claimed the victim cut herself. According to an affidavit, Bright later called the child and asked for the blood to be cleaned up.
Bright was arrested and charged with felony murder.
