The man accused of murdering the woman he lived with at a North Austin home two years ago was a no-show at his pretrial hearing on Thursday.

Kevin Michael Waguespack was out on bond for the murder of Catherine Rebecca Dyer. She was found dead back in November 2015, at the home she shared with Waguespack in the 7500 block of Northcrest Boulevard, not far from the Lamar Boulevard and Hwy 183 intersection.

Waguespack was later captured after a brief standoff with police in Adams County, Mississippi.

The night of Dyer's death, Waguespack called 911 stating that he "killed this woman and her name is Catherine Dyer," according to police.

Waguespack was out on bond -- but now that his murder trial is about to begin his whereabouts are unknown. He was required to wear an ankle monitor as a condition of his bond, but a judge recently allowed him to remove it. The Travis County District Attorney's Office says they were unaware of the judge's decision.

It's unclear at this time if a new warrant has been issued for his arrest. This developing story will be updated as we learn more.
