The United States Tennis Association is planning to relocate its Texas headquarters to Cedar Park, according to a press release from the city.
According to the memorandum of understanding Cedar Park entered into with USTA, the facility would be part of the projected $1.5 billion Indigo Ridge development, located at Whitestone Boulevard and Sam Bass Road.
The planned facility will include approximately 40 tennis courts, complete with six to eight indoor tennis courts, a stadium court and related amenities for training, development and competitions. It will be owned and operated by USTA Texas.
A spokesperson for Cedar Park says the city plans to bring development a incentive package for Indigo Ridge Partners and the US Tennis Association Texas to City Council for their approval within the next 90 days.
