Forever Families: Hannah
15-year-old Hannah gets a chance to be pampered and feel beautiful inside and out. CBS Austin spent the afternoon with her at South Austin's Frenchy's Salon.
"For all the kids out there in CPS, keep your head up," said Hannah.
Girl talk and giggles fill the salon. This is more than just a makeup appointment at Frenchy's. Hannah has spent years in state foster care.
"I've been inspired by a lot of YouTubers to do makeup and be positive about myself," she said.
Adoption Caseworker Elizabeth Harris says Hannah hopes for a home.
"She wants to be a normal teenager and do what normal teenagers do and have parents she can rely on and can support her," said Harris.
Which includes one big deal-breaker.
"Definitely a person that does not have cats. I don't like any cats," said Hannah.
She does love dogs and if her singing career doesn't work out, she wants to become a vet.
"When you hold me, I'm alive. Like diamonds in the sky," Hannah sings for us.
She's ready for center stage in a family of her own.
"I'm looking for someone who is caring and loving and wants the best for me. Wants me to be me for who I am," she said.
