Forever Families: Elizabeth
14-year-old Elizabeth went on the adventure of a lifetime with a tour of a private exotic game ranch in Central Texas.
She says she’s always felt a connection with animals. "They’re not imperfect like most people are," says Elizabeth.
Her caseworker, Amanda, describes her as curious, smart and resourceful.
Amanda says Elizabeth yearns for the love and attention a forever family provides. "She’s experienced loss multiple times and has really had to struggle with that," says Amanda.
At the ranch, Elizabeth had no fear petting a rhinoceros, feeding giraffes and watching zebras roam. She considers herself an artist and has a passion for taking pictures, editing them, and drawing sketches of the images.
However, Elizabeth’s main passion is being outside. She enjoys bike riding, exploring and learning about the environment.
Those who know her best say she would thrive in a family that encourages her curiosity. When she grows up, Elizabeth has dreams of going to college.
She’s hoping for a family that can support her goals and says it would be a plus if that family has pets!
