Blake is a 12-year-old passionate about learning about nature, new languages, cultures, and animals. The young boy also enjoys reading, writing and drawing his own cartoon characters.
During a one of a kind visit to Redd's Barbershop on 6th Street in Austin, Blake got to also show off his competitive and athletic side while hanging out with former NFL defensive tackle Cory Redding.
"Blake's heart is so much bigger than his body stature," said Redding. The two bonded over Oreo cookies, milk, and some football.
"I taught him how to be a receiver outside in the parking lot with only five minutes of instructions and he got it really well, that's just a testament of who he is," Redding said.
Despite what he has gone through, Blake has a positive mindset about life and his future.
"I always try to look to the bright side, I don't like looking to the bad side," said Blake.
He said he is looking forward to finding a forever family, and share special moments with his adoptive parents.
"I want my dad to be able to play sports with me, I want my mom to be able to write with me--write things and send letters," Blake said.
He also added he would like to have siblings and a pet.
Forever Families airs every Wednesday on CBS Austin. Blake's full bio is featured here in The Heart Gallery of Central Texas.
