Forever Families: Alonzo
AUSTIN, Texas —
9-year-old Alonzo has a flair for acting. He took a break from acting camp to sit down with CBS Austin Reporter Lindsay Liepman to let his imagination ignite.
"Once upon a time, a little boy named Alonzo came along," said Lindsay as they both made up a story together.
"He discovered he had seeds in his pocket so it planted them in the ground and a tree grew," she said.
"It was a magical tree that was talking to us," said Alonzo.
"What did he say?" asked Lindsay.
"He said, how was your day?" said Alonzo with a smile.
The 9-year-old who loves to act and sing, has a gift. He is a performer and even sang "Chillin' Like a Villain" from the Descendants 2 movie. It's easy to see Alonzo shines from the inside out.
"Tell me about your biggest dream," asked Lindsay.
"My biggest dream is when I went on stage and met all my favorite Disney characters," said Alonzo.
Alonzo had his portrait taken for The Heart Gallery of Central Texas and hopes it will help find his forever family. A truly happy ending to his story.
"I take it day by day," said Alonzo.
"Did you know that you're special sweetheart?" asked Lindsay.
"I did not know," said Alonzo.
"You are special. You're going to do awesome things in life. You have to remember who you are and no one can ever tell you different. Okay sweetheart?" said LIndsay.
Alonzo nodded yes and smiled.
