2 arrested in Fayette Co. after K9 Lobos finds nearly 49lbs of marijuana in van

Two men were arrested Monday in Fayette County during a traffic stop after being found with nearly 49 pounds of marijuana.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says the two were pulled over for a traffic violation on I-10 near the 664 mile marker. Sgt. Randy Thumann's K9 Lobos signaled there were drugs in the floor of the van.

Police arrested 21-year-old Alex Efrain Santa Maria, of Dallas, and 20-year-old Michael Jimenez, of Laredo, for possession of marijuana.
