It's been a while since an entertaining buddy cop comedy has come along, but what makes War on Everyone so amusing is that they are bad cops that frame bad guys to get them to do what they want. Brought to SXSW as one of the Headliners, War on Everyone is one to watch for.

Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Terry Monroe (True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard) and Bob Bolaño (Michael Peña) are some of the most ridiculous cops around. Their Lieutenant (Paul Reiser) has warned them over and over again about the damage that they cause from breaking the law. One more time breaking the rules (and do they ever), and they're fired. They plant cocaine on a guy named Reggie (Malcolm Barrett) to try and get some information out of him. He becomes their informant as they are trying to uncover the crimes a strip club manager and his people are involved in.

War on Everyone has some witty character development, even though it's over the top. You are going to fall in love with these guys immediately.! Monroe is an alcoholic and druggy and never thinks before he acts. He has a great love for Glen Campbell playing his songs much of the time. He even takes in a boy that he took out his mother. Bolaño is more grounded and a family man and is the intellectual of the two, but still snorts coke and screams at his kids. There's lots of laughs here and War on Everyone will leave you with a grin on your face after it's over.
