Officers were able to detain 26-year-old Timothy Bowie nearby after matching the description of the suspect. A discarded firearm was located close by, according to APD.

Bowie was arrested and charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

APD says Bowie was out on a PR bond for a 2019 murder charge issued in June of 2021. In that case a man was shot and killed at the Quality Inn on Gessner Drive in North Austin. Bowie and two others were arrested for that crime.
