Former Texas RB Foreman arrested for weapon, marijuana possession
AUSTIN, Texas —
D’Onta Foreman, former Texas running back, was arrested around 3am Sunday morning. Foreman was taken into custody by the University of Texas Police and charged with possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
According to a statement released by the UTPD, “officers responded to a report of the smell of marijuana coming from three occupied vehicles near the southwest side of San Jacinto residence hall on campus.” Foreman was booked into Travis County Jail.
Foreman decided to forego his senior season to enter in the NFL Draft. He was selected in the third round by the Houston Texans and on June 19th, 2017 he officially signed with the team. At Texas Foreman rushed for 2,028 yards and won the Doak Walker Award last season.
