The Regents football team takes pride in many things, but one of the biggest, is the relationships built between teammates and family.
Beck Brydon, Head Football Coach for the Knights, started a father-son retreat ten years ago to kick off preseason football. His motivation behind the cause was to strengthen the connection between his players and their dads, an experience Brydon never had. His dad passed away when he was in the 7th grade.
The retreat has become a longstanding tradition with activities ranging from fishing, relay races, and the biggest hit, belly flop contests. The location for each retreat varies, but every year brings new jokes, experiences and plenty of laughs.
The Knights have their first game of the season on September 2nd at home.
