The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is looking for a man that disappeared after a violent confrontation that ended with him biting off another man's thumb.

Frank Mosqueda Jr. is facing aggravated robbery charges. The fight happened the night of February 17, 2017 at the Drip City Vape Shop in South Austin.

According to authorities, surveillance cameras recorded the moment when Mosqueda entered the store. Inside, a couple of guys were hanging out and were caught by surprise when Mosqueda entered.

"A guy runs in screaming all sorts of obscenities," said the victim, who asked not to be identified.

According to witnesses, Frank Mosqueda was a customer of the vape shop located on Barton Springs Road.

"He runs in smashes a hammer on the counter, he's screaming 'give me the bag, give me the register,'" the victim said.

The store's surveillance video showed the moment when Mosqueda attacks the victim and attempts to take his belongings.

"I'm trying to grab him and he grabs my hand and he bites my thumb and just takes the end," the victim said.

Then, with a woman's help, Mosqueda takes the victim's backpack and leaves the store.

"Officers responded but by that time Mosqueda had fled," said Supervisory Deputy Marshal Hector Gomez.

He's been off the map since, but authorities believe that because he's a guitar player, he could be around, playing with a band.

"He certainly can be anywhere in the United States or certainly right under our nose here in Austin along 6th Street," Gomez said.

His criminal record dates back to the mid-80s, and the warning is for anyone that sees him or is close to him.

"He's very vicious in that respect, he will resort to biting", Gomez said.

The victim has since recovered, but he did lose part of his thumb.

"I just want the justice to be done," the victim said.

If you have any information on his whereabouts call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 512-800-4213.
