U.S. Marshals searching for man who allegedly attacked girlfriend with screwdriver
30-year-old Rodolfo Sarabia is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Back in July, Hays County officials say he was in the car with his girlfriend and wasn't happy when she tried to end their relationship.
"It's then when Sarabia becomes violent verbally and physically and also retrieves a flathead screwdriver and attempts to stab her in the leg four times," said U.S. Deputy Marshal Brandon Filla.
Sarabia's criminal history dates back to 2005.
"That criminal history starts with a robbery, then it also has an assault, also has unauthorized use of a vehicle, and also has assault/family violence," said Filla.
Authorities think this incident shows just how violent he can be.
"He gets so violent that he has to retrieve the nearest weapon that's available to him in that vehicle, and that's a flathead screwdriver. We can speculate that luckily there wasn't a firearm," Filla said.
Sarabia is 5'8, weighs 200 lbs., and has an "A" tattoo on his neck, along with several other tattoos on his arms and chest.
