Woman runs out of house to tell officer she was held captive, assaulted
SAN ANTONIO - Police arrested a man suspected of dragging, beating and sexually assaulting a woman at a home a home during the New Year's Eve weekend.
According to a criminal complaint, investigators went to the home to talk to the suspect about an unrelated theft. An officer knocked, but no one answered.
As he got ready to leave, a woman ran out of the house, asked for help and claimed she had been held captive by the suspect, identified in court papers as Bishoy Elkhaliny.
The victim told the officer that Elkhaliny hit her with a closed fist until she lost consciousness. The officer noted in the report that the victim had injuries to her face. She also claimed Elkhaliny sexually assaulted her.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Elkhaliny is charged with aggravated and sexual assault.
