VIDEO: Suspects rip open doors of hardware store with SUV during burglary in San Marcos

Police in San Marcos are looking for a pair of suspects caught on tape ripping the front door off a hardware store during an early morning burglary last Friday.

According to police, the suspects were caught on video attaching a chain to the front door of Hoffman's Supply store at 440 S. Guadalupe St. in San Marcos around 4 a.m. on February 2.

They then pulled the doors open with a Chevy Tahoe, after which they entered the building and stole 3 Miller welders and 1 Lincoln welder.

The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect 1: Driver, white/Hispanic male, thin build with light skin, wearing glasses, gray/red Nike Air Jordan shoes.
  • Suspect 2: Passenger, white/Hispanic male, stocky build with light skin, wearing a black hoodie with the Virgin Mary on the front, on the back it reads "Pray for Us," black Nike shoes.
