Suspect from west Travis Co. double-homicide identified

Authorities have identified the suspect from Wednesday night's fatal shooting in west Travis County that left two people dead and another critically injured.

It happened at approximately 7:40 p.m. at a home in the 2000 block of Whitebead Trail, about a mile south of the RM 620 and Hudson Bend Road intersection.

Deputies responded to a shots fired call and found two people dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head. Another victim is still in critical condition at a local hospital.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says the suspect is Lakeway resident Randall Lee Burrows, 54.

He fled the scene in a 2011 white Ford Escape with the Texas license plate FVX 4037. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators say the incident appears to be the result of a business disputes, but could not provide further details.

Burrows faces a murder charge with a $2 million bond. He is described as 5'9", 195 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

The victims have not been identified, but the sheriff's office says the deceased victims were in a relationship.

Detectives say Burrows was previously arrested and charged with murder in 1989 but was not convicted. He also has previous aggravated assault charges in the last year.
