Self-driving supercar tested on Austin racetrack

The fastest self-driving cars are being tested here in Austin.

Last week, the NIO EP9 supercar went around the track at the Circuit of the Americas in just 2 minutes and 40.33 seconds.

It took engineers about four months to get the car to go this fast. It reached 160 miles per hour, according to Kayla J. Williams with Giant Noise.

The same car, with a driver, took 2 minutes and 11.30 seconds to finish a lap.
