Police searching for East Austin robbery suspects

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men they say robbed an East Austin convenience store last month.

It happened Monday, Sept. 4, at approximately 5:55 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and East 38th ½ Street.

Investigators say the two suspects entered the store with a weapon and demanded money. They then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

Suspect # 1 is described as:

  • Black male
  • Approx. early 20s
  • Approx. 5'10"-5'11"
  • Average build

He was last seen wearing black pants and a white hoodie with thin horizontal strips.

Suspect # 2 is described as:

  • Black male
  • Approx. early 20s
  • Approx. 5'9"-5'10"
  • Tall and thin build

He was last seen wearing a white skull cap, tank top with a plaid shirt around his neck, and blue jeans.
