Police identify elderly pedestrian who died after being hit in E. Austin crash
AUSTIN, Texas —
The Austin Police Department has identified an elderly man who died two days after being struck by a vehicle as he tried to cross an East Austin street.
Police say on Sunday, June 11 at 9:19 p.m. a 2002 Hyundai was traveling west on Bandera Road before turning south on Springdale Road.
A pedestrian, identified as 75-year-old Arnold "Otto" French, was crossing Springdale when he was hit.
French died from his injuries on Tuesday, June 13.
