Oncor sending hundreds of employees to Florida to help restore power
Millions of people in Florida are without power after Hurricane Irma cut through the state.
Downed power lines could also be deadly as people survey the damage. But help is on its way from Texas. Oncor is sending 225 employees to help restore power.
"This is what we do. We've been to major storms like Sandy, Katrina. Any major storm you can think of we have lent a helping hand," said Oncor spokesperson Kris Spears.
Texas Oncor electric teams left for Florida on Sunday as soon as the storm passed. They will work on behalf of Florida Power and Light.
