The nation's oldest living veteran and Austinite was hospitalized Friday.
Richard Overton's family says he had a fever of 102 early in the day and was lethargic.
They say he's been diagnosed with pneumonia. He will stay at the hospital for the next several days.
Overton turned 111 just last week. He served in the Army in World War II.
Officials with the Saint David's hospital system tells CBS Austin that Overton is in good condition as of Saturday afternoon.
