New sketches of Dripping Springs jewelry store armed robbery suspects released
The Hays County Sheriff's Office has released new sketches and video of suspects in a jewelry store robbery that happened on Saturday morning in Dripping Springs.
According to the sheriff's office, two men entered Vik Jewelers located at 598 East Highway 290 at approximately 11:31 a.m. and ordered employees to raise their hands up.
After one suspect was unable to break the glass display case, the second suspect fired two rounds into the case, shattering the glass and then stealing the contents.
The suspects fled the store in a vehicle described as a green or gray Nissan passenger car. They are described as follows:
- Suspect 1: black male with a light complexion 5’7” 175 pounds
- Wearing light colored jeans, black sweatshirt type shirt, tan baseball hat, and wearing sunglasses
- Suspect 2: black male with a dark complexion 5’9” 150 pounds with facial hair
- Wearing blue jeans, black jacket with a wide white stripe on the sleeves, camouflage style boonie hat, and a construction worker styled reflective vest
The sketch of suspect number 1 wearing sunglasses is from the day of the robbery.
The second sketch of suspect number 1 without the sunglasses is a composite of the suspect who was seen in the Dripping Springs area several weeks prior to the robbery.
Investigators have also released three photographs of very distinct jewelry stolen during the robbery.
The victims in the robbery were not injured.
