NBA Finals MVP, former Longhorn Kevin Durant in Austin for youth basketball camp
AUSTIN, Texas —
Kevin Durant, former Texas Longhorn and current Golden State Warrior--and reigning NBA Finals MVP--was in Austin on Thursday to visit an outdoor basketball court his charity helped build in north Austin.
Durant stopped by IDEA Public Schools' Austin Rundberg campus on Thursday morning.
That's where The Kevin Durant Charity Foundation and BBVA Compass bank funded a $100,000 outdoor basketball court.
NBA champ Durant surprised the 40 students invited to a basketball clinic at the IDEA Rundberg campus, run by an instructor from the Kevin Durant Youth Basketball Fantasy ProCamp.
