Man charged for robbing Round Rock spa with AK-47
Police have charged a man for the armed robbery of a Round Rock spa last week.
According to the arrest affidavit, Cruz Reyes Soliz, 27, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony.
It happened Thursday, September 21, at the Seven Say Spa located at 1510 Sam Bass Road, about a mile west of the I-35 intersection.
Police say Soliz, with his face concealed with a bandanna, kicked in the back door of the business, and while holding an AK-47, ordered one of the employees to the floor. He demanded money, and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Surveillance video from the business showed Soliz there about 30 minutes prior to the robbery trying to make entry to the backdoor. He was unsuccessful but returned to commit the robbery, the affidavit says.
Police were able to find Soliz by tracking the license plate of the vehicle he used in the robbery.
