APD: Fatal NE Austin shooting possibly result of road rage confrontation
UPDATE 7 p.m.: Police say the shooting Tuesday evening at a Northeast Austin CVS that left a man dead was possibly the result of a road rage incident.
Investigators say at approximately 4:30 p.m. dispatch received a shooting/stab call at the CVS parking lot located at the intersection of East Parmer Lane and Dessau Road.
Responding officers and EMS medics found a man with an apparent gunshot wound dead in a vehicle.
Police say witnesses believe this was a road rage incident because the vehicles involved were seen driving around the area before stopping in the CVS parking lot.
Officers are still searching for the suspect. A specific description has not been provided, but they say he may have been driving a red sedan.
The victim has not been identified.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call police.
Police did find a red a sedan about a quarter mile away parked in a small neighborhood. The car did not have any license plates.
Officers wouldn't say for sure if the car is connected to the possible road rage shooting, but say it's possible. The car was towed away from the neighborhood.

A man was killed Tuesday evening in a shooting in Northeast Austin, EMS officials say.
It happened at around 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of East Parmer Lane and Dessau Road.
Austin-Travis County EMS officials say when medics arrived they began CPR on an approximately 30s male suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at around 4:50 p.m.
