Domain store employee pepper-sprayed during robbery
AUSTIN, Texas —
Five people were arrested Thursday after allegedly pepper-spraying an employee during a robbery.
According to court documents, Austin Police were called to Pink, located in the Domain, around 3:30 p.m. Witnesses told the officers that five people had entered the store and were placing a large amount of merchandise into bags.
When the employee approached the group, who had gathered near the front of the store, a suspect identified as Levi Shaw pepper-sprayed the employee. The group then fled the store and entered a blue vehicle.
An Austin Police officer on patrol located the vehicle and suspects at the Chick Fil A at 13201 FM 620, eight miles away. After detaining the suspects, the officer located the 75 items stolen from the store, totaling more than $2,800.
Along with 22-year-old Levi Shaw, police arrested Tresor Latin, 22, Diavian Curry, 17, Dwona Murphy, 20, and Tunsia Young, 22.
