Caldwell County wildfire contained

LOCKHART, Texas (KEYE) - Multiple agencies worked a wildfire in Lockhart, Texas Saturday afternoon.

According to Caldwell County Office of Emergency Management Coordinator Martin Ritchey, the fire was called in at approximated 3:26 p.m. near the intersection of US 183 and Dry Creek Road.

The wildfire is reportedly 15 to 20 acres in size, according to authorities.

Ritchey tells CBS Austin that they believe the cause to be from agriculture production, possibly from baling hay.

No structures are threatened nor any injuries reported.

Agencies that responded to the fire were Mid-County Fire/Rescue - ESD 4, Luling VFD, Maxwell Community VFD, Southeast Caldwell County VFD and Caldwell County OEM.
