Border Patrol seizes over 1,100 pounds of marijuana in Texas
Border Patrol agents responded on Tuesday November 7 to an SUV possibly being loaded with narcotics near Rio Grande City.
According to reports, with the assistance of an Air and Marine helicopter, agents located the SUV parked at a residence.
The agents discovered the vehicle had been abandoned and was loaded with a total of 95 bundles of marijuana weighing over 1,100 pounds and worth nearly $900,000.
Border Patrol says the marijuana was turned over to the Starr County High Intensity Drug Task Force.
