Austin Police seeking help identifying SE Austin armed robbery suspects

Austin Police are looking for the public's help identifying two suspects in an armed robbery that happened in southeast Austin earlier this month.

Police say on July 2 around 9:25 p.m. two Hispanic male suspects approached the male victim who was sitting in his car near the Family Dollar store in the 5300 block of Nuckols Crossing.

According to police, one suspect pulled a handgun and the other suspect displayed a sawed-off shotgun and demanded money from the victim. One suspect fired off a round into the air.

The suspects also shoplifted from the Family Dollar store just before the robbery, police say.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1:

  • Hispanic male
  • 20s
  • Long sleeved blue shirt with Nike on the front
  • Blue cap
  • Jeans
  • Dark shoes

Suspect #2:

  • Hispanic male
  • 20s
  • Chinstrap beard with mustache
  • Plaid shirt
  • Blue jean pants
  • Dark shoes
