APD investigating homicide in North Austin

Austin Police are calling a man's death at a home in North Austin a homicide.

Police say there was a call for shots fired around 1:30 a.m. at a home in the 12900 block of Quinn Trail.

When officers arrived, they found an individual performing CPR on a male victim with obvious trauma to his body.

The victim, who is said to be a black male in his 20s was taken to the hospital, and was later pronounced dead.

Detectives do not believe there is any threat to the public at this time, based on what is known so far.
