20-month-old child struck and killed by truck in Taylor
A 20-month-old boy was hit and killed by a vehicle on in Taylor on Sunday.
According to Taylor Police, the collision happened in the 600 block of E. Pecan Street around 4:39 p.m. on October 1.
Police say the boy, identified as Henry Campos, Jr., ran into the roadway and was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 50-year-old man who lives across the street.
Campos was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and cooperated with police. Neither speed nor impairment are considered contributing factors in the crash.
This incident is still under investigation by the Taylor Police. The Georgetown Police Department Crime Scene Unit and the Williamson County Victim's Assistance Unit is assisting.
Police say no arrests are pending at this time.
