Trailer released for the Netflix 'Mystery Science Theater 3000' revival

Streaming video service Netflix released a trailer for the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" reboot set to debut next month.

The new episodes will be available to stream on Friday, April 14.

The revival, funded on Kickstarter, raised more than $5.7 million in 2015.

The original series ran from 1989 to 1999, on Comedy Central for the first seven seasons, followed by the Sci Fi Channel for seasons eight, nine, and ten.

The new season will star Jonah Ray as the human trapped in space forced to watch awful movies, while Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt will play the mad scientists who put him there. The voice of 'bots Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot will be provided by comedians Baron Vaughn and Hampton Yount, respectively.
