Road Trippin' Llano: Llano Chamber of Commerce
Llano is proud to be the co-bluebonnet capital of Texas, with Burnet County, and has been known as the Deer Capital of Texas since the late '40s, with more deer per acre than any other place in the Uni-ed States.
Llano offers many restaurants, unique shopping, an art paradise, 18 bed & breakfast locations, and 4 motels. Llano is centrally located with 3 state parks just a short drive from the city, including one of the most popular parks in Texas, Enchanted Rock, which sits mostly in Llano County.
Lake Buchanan is only 20 minutes away, with boating, fishing, camping, and eagle nesting from Late October through March.
The John L. Kuykendall Event Center and Arena, a multi-purpose facility located 2 miles west of town, is the home of the Llano open Pro Rodeo in June, now in it’s 82nd year, and the Llano PRCA Xtreme Bull Riding in October. The Event Center portion hosts the Llano County Junior Livestock show in January, and is available for weddings, concerts, meetings, and the Peddler Show & Hill Country Expo in August.
